On Monday, he didn’t know how to float. This is Friday.

Miracle Swimming School for Adults Blog Have you always had a nagging fear of water, and wanted to conquer it once and for all? Then welcome to the Miracle Swimming School for Adults, where we specialize in helping adults demolish their lifelong water-noia. We’ve done so for seventeen years in Sarasota and since the early 1980s in California. We want to show you how it works.

Conquer Your Fear of Water!

Did you know that according to Gallup, roughly half of adults in the U.S. cannot swim in pools? And it gets worse! 64% of Americans are afraid in open water. Given all the rivers, lakes, and oceans across the globe, we find that figure rather astonishing. If people are afraid, they aren’t safe. We can fix this! That’s why we offer a litany of effective ways to help adults conquer their fear of water and learn how to swim. Not strokes! These include:

  • In-Person Swimming Courses
    • These are for adults of various levels of fear, skills, and abilities.
  • Learn-to-Float Gear
  • Home Educational Resources
    • Video, Books, Podcast, YouTube channel, and more!
  • Ocean 101
    • This is one of our favorites: we take you from the pool into the ocean with all its grandeur—beach, waves, and critters. Ocean 101 is for those who have mastered our pool basics.
  • Dozens of Other “Extras” to reinforce swimming and water-related fun.

We base our teaching on one thing: staying true to yourself. It’s critical for all adults to know how to swim, and it’s essential for parents to pass this knowledge on to their progeny. Sarasota, Florida, like many places in America, is on a beautiful and enormous body of water. Once we understand the water and master the essentials of swimming, the opportunities for enjoying the ocean’s splendor are nearly limitless. It’s time for you to learn to be comfortable in water, shallow and deep: to learn how to float and swim. Miracle Swimming School for Adults wants to help all adults capture the joy that comes from knowing the water, rather than trembling before it. Don’t bother listening to people who say you’re too old to learn. We’ll show you how to overcome your water-related anxiety and be the fish you were born to be.
