There are three things you can do with fear: avoid it, manage it, and heal it. At Miracle Swimming and 5 Circles Mindfulness, we are about healing it. 

Instructor Melon Dash says, “There’s no such thing as an irrational fear. Every fear has an honest beginning.” Claustrophobia, whether you remember its beginning or not, can be healed, like any fear. Learn its workings and what to do about it to regain your self-confidence.

“Melon” (Mary Ellen) Dash developed a new paradigm of teaching and learning in 1983 to solve the problem of adults who were afraid in water who couldn’t learn to swim in traditional lessons. Fear was not being addressed. She has taught adults who are terrified in water to become confident and free in deep water for 37 years (1983). She is the author of Conquer Your Fear of Water: Learn to Swim with the 5 Circles, A Breakthrough in Teaching and Learning, Conquer Your Fear of the Triathlon Swim, and soon, How Fear Works: 5 Circles for Teaching the Impossible. Her system is applicable to all fear.
