Lido Beach/Lido Key for August’s Ocean 202 course.
June and July: Stay at dorms at New College in June and July or at Residence Inn by Marriott the entire time if you wish. Both organizations have given us Miracle Swimming rates. See Accommodations below for the whole summer.
August 18-20 is Miracle Swimming’s 40th Anniversary Reunion Party with 3 days of pool and ocean classes and novelties at New College. Summer Campers are invited to stay!
Adult Summer Swim Camp, 2023: Become Calm in Deep Water at Miracle Swimming.
Dedicate your summer to learning how to be happy in water, shallow and deep, pool and ocean with MSSA’s core series of learn-to-swim courses. They’re fun and they work.
Become a new person by the end of August. Or, June. Read the August, 2022 issue of West Coast Woman for a good story on Miracle Swimming (page 18), whose world headquarters are in Sarasota.
$2902 is 50% of the normal price of the series plus Ocean 202. Take Essentials 1 and 2—the essentials you must know that you haven’t learned elsewhere about being in water that enable you to be happy in deep water; Ocean 101—an introduction to salt water, being at ease in the ocean, breakers, critters, how to handle rip currents and waves; Deep Water Play—so you can go to any part of the pool at will (in case you drop your keys, glasses, phone into the deep end); and Jump Off the Boat for those snorkeling excursions or social occasions when you want to be part of the group and jump in with reckless abandon!
Since your enrollment reserves a spot for you in 5 courses, we ask for a nonrefundable deposit of $200 for each course: $1000 to register for Summer Camp.
Pace: Learning cannot be rushed. If, by chance, you’re not ready for Deep Water Play after Essentials 2, you will have everything you need to “get there” in the time between courses. Our system caters to this. You would practice during the weeks of play time. It is highly likely that you will be ready in time. We cannot guarantee it, however. If you aren’t ready, you would simply skip that course and join us for Jump Off the Boat.
Dates: June 12-August 16, 2023. Plenty of rest between courses. This is not meant to be an intensive. But don’t plan on doing much else! Go at your own pace. We stongly recommend that you not plan other activities in these two months. This will be the summer you learned to swim. Give it your best shot! August 18-20 is a reunion: a weekend of mini-courses and play in Sarasota pools and gulf. You’ll be part of the Miracle Swimming family!
