For Instructors

What Is the Miracle Swimming Mindfulness Instructor Training?

It’s the vast amount of information missing from previous swim instructor training programs.

For over one hundred years, swimming lessons in the U.S. have been about learning strokes. Since the late 1980s, they have emphasized strokes virtually to the exclusion of safety.

The secret to successful swimming lessons lies not in tips on swimming mechanics or technique. It’s understanding learning.

When you understand the system of The 5 Circles, you will supercharge your power as a teacher.

Miracle Swimming’s Mindfulness Instructor Training for Swim Instructors (MITSI) is a blended training of online and in-person experiences.

Online:

Forty hours (3-4 months) and 18 lessons bring instructors who know there “must be more” from a traditional teaching background to Miracle Swimming. Pass tests along the way, online and live teaching.

In Person:

Attend the Essentials 1 course in Sarasota, FL. Dive in, engage and pass your tests. Return home to begin teaching Essentials 1. In three months, return to Sarasota to attend Essentials 2, ask questions raised in the field at home, and solidify your understanding of the Miracle Swimming teaching technology. Pass your final test.

How to Begin

Every Miracle Swimming Instructor has read and thoroughly digested the book, Conquer Your Fear of Water, the DVD, The Miracle Swimmer, and the podcast, The Learn to Swim Show.

If you plan to take the Instructor Training, get started with the small investment in these primers. Start to use them in your teaching.

These are your first steps to prepare for the Mindfulness Training.  They help you confirm that you are aligned with teaching confidence before skills.

Students begin to learn the front float. (Pre-Covid-19)

Count On:

Replacing the “learn-to-swim” information in your mind with an update that shifts your perspective up to 180 degrees.

Relief that you finally understand why some things never worked.

Confidence that you can resolve any beginning learner’s challenges.

Never getting tired of teaching afraid students, adults or kids.

An earning power you’ve never had. A swimming instructor credential that’s second to none.

These two students overcame fear in five days

We proved that an instructor does not have to be within 6 feet of students for breakthroughs of this magnitude to happen in 5 days. There is more to learn, but what a great beginning!
