Who Takes Our Essentials 2 Course?

Essentials 2 was formerly called “Next Step.”

Graduates of our Essentials 1 course return to finish learning the essentials of being in deep water. They are ready for Essentials 2 if they can do the following when they arrive:

◈ float and unfloat on front and back peacefully
◈ reversals peacefully
◈ roll over in shallow water peacefully
◈ focus on staying in the 1st Circle
$1659 Sarasota (Instructor  travels from Chicago)
$1659 Atlanta, Albany CA

What Is the Course?

Become calm in water over your head.

Be able to rest and remain at ease floating, bobbing, and rolling over anywhere in deep water without getting tired for 10 – 15 minutes.

Go at your own pace and learn as much as 24 hours allows.

Same format as the Essentials 1 course: 8 three-hour sessions.  1 hour on land, 2 hours in the pool.

In the deep end when you’re ready, you’ll learn your new confidence on one of our float bars as pictured. You are connected securely to the bar with a tether so you don’t need to wait for a spotter. It’s fun! It keeps you socially distant from the instructor and other students.

With the safety of the tether you learn little by little that deep water does hold you up and you can remain in control.

Students getting to know the water better.

You Can Count On:

◈ Feeling safe all the time
◈ Being inspired by others’ to try things you want to do
◈ Wanting to take  risks because you feel safe
◈ Becoming still in deep water…or more still
◈ Reaching new swimming goals

"Our" Hotels

The price of this course has risen because our instructor flies into Sarasota to teach and she must stay at the resort where class is held. We’re splitting the difference with you if we have at least 6 students in the course. We apologize for this change. There has been an increase in accommodations in Sarasota in the past year. Some course locations offer 2 bedroom 2 bath condos, shareable by 2 classmates. Tell us if you’re interested and we’ll try to pair you with another student.

Where and When:

"In previous classes, when we jumped in, it was like walking the plank. Here, it's like we're in the ice cream line!" -JY, Canada

How would you like to feel in deep water?

“This is a dream come true.”
